About This Dashboard

Question: Can an electric semi-truck run the Texas Triangle freight corridor (I-10/I-35/I-45) today?

Methodology:

A 25-mile buffer was drawn around I-10, I-35, and I-45.
Sample points were placed every 10 miles along each highway.
For each point, the nearest DC Fast charger within the corridor was found.
Points 30 miles or more from a charger are flagged as Charging Deserts — the station-to-station gap would exceed 60 mi, too far for a loaded electric semi.

Penske overlay: 154 Penske facilities in Texas are classified by electrification risk tier based on their proximity to charging gaps.
